Stuti Nadkarni
Physiotherapist

A BIT ABOUT ME
MY JOURNEY
I’ve trained in Indian classical dance from the age of 7, and had my own share of physio visits growing up. Physio helped me keep pursuing my passion for dance more comfortably, and along the way I learnt the importance of moving well and looking after my body. It sparked my fascination with movement and ultimately inspired me to become a physiotherapist.
MY IDEAL WEEKEND
Dance rehearsals, catching up with friends, good food and some downtime.
HOBBIES
Dancing, hiking, brewing good coffee, exploring new spots around town
SPORTS I PLAY
I grew up playing Badminton and rollerskating
GUILTY PLEASURE
An afternoon power nap whenever I can get in one.
FAVOURITE PLACE TRAVELLED TO
Salzburg, Austria- for the gorgeous mountains, beautiful old town and fairytale-like scenery
FAVOURITE WAY TO STAY ACTIVE
Pilates, strength training, dancing and getting outdoors for a good walk/hike.
SOMETHING THAT MAY SURPRISE YOU
I can speak 4 languages and understand a couple more. Also, I’m a bit of a Formula1 fan!
ME THE PHYSIO
MY PHYSIO BACKGROUND
I began my Physio career in Mumbai, working in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy before moving to Australia to complete my Masters in Advanced Clinical Physiotherapy. Since then I’ve gained experience in public health, community health and local sport.
WHY I CHOSE TO BE A PHYSIO
Dancing from a young age I learnt the importance of moving well and looking after my body. It sparked my fascination with movement and ultimately inspired me to become a physiotherapist.
WHY I LOVE BEING A PHYSIO
I love helping people get back to the things that matter to them, whether that’s sport, work, keeping up with family or just moving through life with more confidence
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
My background in dance has shaped the way I understand movement and rehab. I like to understand not just what hurts, but also what someone wants to get back to, and tailor the rehab around what matters to them.
