Sometimes you simply can’t get to the physio but you still need help. This has been commonplace now due to COVID-19 isolations and lockdowns, but…
Telehealth Physiotherapy (Video or phone consults)
Physiotherapy that comes with you – in the home, office, on your holiday, in your remote community or while you wait to pick your kids up from school.
While you may think that telehealth isn’t an option, it has proven researched benefits as a highly effective mode of treatment.
While we can’t touch you, there are many aspects of treatment that can be provided equally effectively over video.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is video or phone consults.
While we can offer both, we do have the software to perform video consults which allows for more than over a phone call.
What can be done over Telehealth?
- Assessment via asking questions and watching you move
- Education
- Advice
- Home exercises
- Self management techniques
How can we incorporate Telehealth into your treatment?
Telehealth can be a standalone mode of consult, and also work very effectively as an adjunct to compliment face-face therapy.
For example, early treatment for advice and self management in acute injuries (particularly when you can’t otherwise access the clinic), and for exercise review and progression throughout your treatment.
Is it safe and secure?
Tanunda Physio & Health use secure video consult software built into our practice management software that uses end-to-end encryption.
This meets the data protection regulations of Australian Privacy Principles.
We don’t use mainstream video call software that usually doesn’t meet these standards.
