Pregnancy & Postnatal Physiotherapy Tanunda

Pregnancy and the journey of motherhood is an amazing time, but also a challenging time.

Whether you are a first time mother to be or well into your parenting years, you are likely dealing with challenges that we would love to help you with.

Pregnancy causes changes to your body that don’t simply resolve. Parenthood suddenly makes putting yourself first and making time to prioritise yourself even harder than it was before. The physical barriers start to take their toll on your emotional wellbeing.

We understand these impacts and are here to help you regain your lifestyle.

Supporting you every step of the way

We understand how challenging this period can be.

Whether you are in your first pregnancy or have multiple kids, there can be a lot happening that needs to be considered.

We will always work closely with you to understand your needs and any potential barriers or challenges to your management and develop a plan that will support you in your own personal journey to get the best results and allow you to live the life you deserve.

What to Expect When You See Us

We provide an experienced musculoskeletal and rehabilitation approach to assessing, managing and supporting the journey through pregnancy, motherhood and beyond.

We will do a thorough assessment to determine the source of your pain and the causing factors.

We will provide initial treatment for fast-effective relief.

We will listen to you to understand how your problem is impacting you and what you need from us to help you live your best life.

You will be given a clear understanding of the diagnosis, cause, expected recovery and the treatment plan required including for self management and prevention of recurrences.

Pregnancy Pilates

Many of the physical challenges faced during and after pregnancy are related to weakness of the core muscles that support your postures and movements.

The body relies on this stability and support and for many reasons this reduces as a result of pregnancy.

Our clinical pilates physiotherapists can tailor a safe and effective exercise program for you to help you through any phase of the pregnancy journey.

This includes

  • early pregnancy – ideal time to prepare the body to prevent issues
  • throughout any stage of pregnancy
  • post natal
  • returning to normal activity after pregnancy
