A BIT ABOUT ME

MY JOURNEY

I’m a homegrown Tanunda boy, and have always enjoyed playing local sports like footy and basketball, with a bit of golf sprinkled in as well. My sports background naturally pushed me towards a career in physiotherapy, which now gives me the opportunity to give back to the local sporting and wider community.

SOMETHING THAT MAY SURPRISE YOU

I’m a bit of a nerd! I love my gaming and have built my own computer.

ME THE PHYSIO

MY PHYSIO BACKGROUND

My initial interest in physiotherapy came from my involvement in community sport, as well as my own experiences as an injured community athlete. The amazing care I received throughout the years left a profound impact that ultimately pushed me into becoming a physio.

I initially completed a year of health and medical sciences, which laid the foundations of biomechanics and the human body before I transferred into the physiotherapy degree.

WHY I CHOOSE TO BE A PHYSIO

I’ve always loved numbers, puzzles and riddles, and the human body is one big, living, moving puzzle! Helping people put the puzzle pieces back together after an injury, as well as having the opportunity to listen to individual’s stories and experiences led me to become a physiotherapist.

WHY I LOVE BEING A PHYSIO

Helping people achieve their goals, whether they are big or small is incredibly fufilling. Having the opportunity to work closely with people to help improve their pain, strength or overall health is amazing.

WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?

Having grown up locally, I’m very aware of the demands of local sporting competitions and working life, giving me a great insight in how to best help you.

My own sporting and working experiences also give me a great background knowledge which I can combine with my physio assessment skills to get you back to your best.

TOP TIPS

BEST WAY TO KEEP ACTIVE & HEALTHY

Make it relevant and fun to you! Whether that’s walking the dog, hitting the gym or playing organised sport, any exercise helps.

MOVEMENT TIP

The best posture is your next posture. Try to keep moving and change positions regularly when at work or at home. This could mean walking around the office, doing some stretches or simply standing instead of

sitting.

MY CORE MESSAGE IS

Build confidence through movement and understanding. I aim to guide you through your journey, helping you gain a better understanding of your body and how you can move better.
