A BIT ABOUT ME
MY JOURNEY
After finishing Uni I headed to Bordertown to start my physio career in a small country town. After 3 years, I moved to Canada, where I spent 6 months working and living in the snow. COVID bought me back to Australia early and I now call the Barossa home.
FAMILY
My Dad works on the farm with his 2 brothers and my Mum does the books. I have an older sister who is a lawyer and a younger brother who is a Diesel Mechanic.
MY IDEAL WEEKEND
Would consist of spending the weekend at the river with friends and family.
SPORTS I PLAY
Netball in the winter & basketball over the summer.
TEAMS I SUPPORT / FAVOURITE
I support the Adelaide crows (not sure I would be allowed here if I didn’t!)
FAVOURITE LOCAL RESTAURANT / CAFÉ
Being fairly new to the area, I haven’t tried them all, however I do have a tendency to head to Darlings Cafe for a coffee and pick me up!
FAVOURITE WAY TO STAY ACTIVE
This list could go on forever! I love anything outdoors, but my current go to is running. I also love water sports, walking/hiking somewhere new and team sports as well.
SOMETHING THAT MAY SURPRISE YOU
I started water skiing at the age of 3!!
ME THE PHYSIO
MY PHYSIO BACKGROUND
I studied a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at UniSA from 2013-2017.
Once qualified I moved to Bordertown to work in a local private practice. Given that I was very remote, it meant that I got to do and see everything, including working in hospitals, abattoirs, sporting communities, hydrotherapy pool and take pilates classes. I couldn’t be more grateful for the work there and giving me such a range of experiences.
After 3 years, I got tired of the travelling and wanted to be closer to family and friends and hence have ended up in the beautiful Barossa.
WHY I CHOSE TO BE A PHYSIO
I hate sitting still. When I was in school planning my career, I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t stuck at a desk and I would do something that allowed me to move and be active. I still think that movement is so important, not just for me, but for my patients as well.
WHY I LOVE BEING A PHYSIO
I love the challenge that being a Physio brings. I am constantly thinking and challenging myself to find better ways of treating different conditions. I also love the learning. We are always doing more courses and learning more techniques. And of course, I love that I can be the one to make a difference to someones life!
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
Over my Physio life, I have worked in so many different area including hospitals, abattoirs, hydrotherapy pools, and pilates. This has given me lots of experience and learning curves, so I will be able to help my patients get back on track.
TOP TIPS

GUIDING QUOTE
Rather than being someone who.… Only runs. Can’t run. Is a gym junkie. Wouldn’t step foot in a gym. Is a cyclist. Hasn’t ridden a bike for years. Only does yoga. Isn’t flexible enough for yoga… Why not be someone who MOVES WELL in a variety of different ways. This way you can adapt and enjoy exploring new kinds of movement without fear of pain or injury.
