A BIT ABOUT ME

MY JOURNEY

For my whole 18 years, I have lived in the same house in Nuriootpa with my family and went to Redeemer Lutheran in Primary School and Faith Lutheran College for High School.

FAMILY

In my family I have two parents, whom I still live at home with and two older brothers who both live in Adelaide.

HOBBIES

I have always loved being active, playing sport and being outdoors since a young age as well as fitting inside a social life. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, going out and eating new meals while making memories

SPORTS I PLAY

I currently play Netball for Nuriootpa Tigers and social mixed netball. While growing up, I played both Netball and Basketball (not very good at it) for again Nuriootpa Tigers and Barossa Magic.

MY SPORTS TEAM

I do not have a set sports team that I support, but with having two sport/AFL fanatic brothers, Port Power are the team I support out of any team.

FAVOURITE LOCAL RESTAURANT / CAFÉ

I am a big lover of food, tend to eat/spend way too much. Picking my favourite local restaurant/café is challenging, but Fino at Seppeltsfield, Vintners in Angaston and Zambrero are my top 3.

FAVOURITE WAY TO STAY ACTIVE

I love going to the gym and feeling strong every day, as well as going on walks, playing Netball and running (which isn’t my favourite).

FAVOURITE PLACE TRAVELLED TO

My favourite place travelled is Bali. I have travelled there 3, heading on 4 times. The people, culture, and food are amazing. So welcoming and relaxing.

SOMETHING THAT MAY SURPRISE YOU

As much as I love food, I cannot do spice, peas, or bananas.

TOP TIPS

BEST WAY TO KEEP ACTIVE & HEALTHY

The best way for me to keep active and healthy is moving my body in some way.
For example going on walks daily (30-45mins), aiming for a total daily step count (7,000,10,000 steps), going to the gym (weights or cardio), eating healthy, balanced meals (making sure to have some sort of protein in each meal).

MOVEMENT TIP

Every hour of your work day, do some sort of movement. E.g., take a walk around the block, complete some stationary functional movements (squats, lunges etc), complete some stretches etc, ride on the stationary bike for x amount of minutes.

MY CORE MESSAGE IS

A little progress each day adds up to a big result.
