A BIT ABOUT ME

MY JOURNEY

I was blessed to grow up on a small farm in the Mid North for the first 18 years of my life. I then moved to Adelaide to pursue competitive netball, test myself in a different career and experience city life. I have just recently moved to the Barossa with my partner, and have been enjoying every second.

FAMILY

My parents are still living on the farm in the Mid North, and my brother resides in a nearby town not far from them. The farm is still home to me, so we visit as often as we can.

HOBBIES

Sport has always been a huge hobby of mine, at one point I was playing 4 sports locally as well as playing volleyball and badminton at school. Otherwise, I enjoy cooking, music and surprisingly organising.

SPORTS I PLAY

My main sports are netball and tennis. I have played my first season of tennis for Vine Vale this year, and hope to play for Tanunda Netball Club in the New Year. My family have always been quite involved with golf, so I play this occasionally as well.

MY TEAM

My dad grew up in Victoria, and his side of the family supports the Brisbane Lions, so I find myself following his taste.

FAVOURITE LOCAL RESTAURANT / CAFÉ

I have not been living locally for very long, so unfortunately haven’t explored all of the Barossa’s delights, but my dining experience at Musque was phenomenal!

FAVOURITE WAY TO STAY ACTIVE

Definitely sport, but otherwise I enjoy going for long walks/runs or heading to the gym.

FAVOURITE PLACE TRAVELLED TO

I was lucky enough to secure a spot on the Wanderer’s Under 18 Netball Trip to Barbados in 2018. We travelled to New York, LA and played netball for 10 days in Barbados. It has been my only visit overseas, but I loved every second of it!

SOMETHING THAT MAY SURPRISE YOU

Surprisingly, even with all of my sporting endeavours, I have never broken a bone (*touch wood*).

TOP TIPS

BEST WAY TO KEEP ACTIVE & HEALTHY

Have a positive attitude towards keeping healthy. Change your mindset from “I have to exercise today” to “I get to exercise today”. Incorporating something you love into it can be beneficial ie. Bring your family or pet for a walk, , or treat yourself to a coffee afterwards.

MOVEMENT TIP

30 minutes of active activity = just over 2% of your entire day, and it will make you feel great!

MY CORE MESSAGE IS

Move better, feel better
