What does an onsite physio do?

An onsite physio spends a varying period of time at your workplace. Their time is spent doing a mix of things including, treating the workers in an onsite treatment room, performing worksite visits, observing tasks and liaising with managers about how each task can be altered to reduce the strain on the body.

Injury prevention

Onsite physiotherapist’s can also be involved in prevention of injuries. This can include things like task design, discussing how often workers should rotate tasks, workplace ergonomics and many more.

Injury management

An onsite physio can manage the workers in an efficient way, most injuries can be managed onsite. This helps to get them back to work sooner and great for workplace morale.

Why do I need an onsite physio?

Did you know that each year, injuries in the workplace cost the Australian economy $61.8 billion (SafeWork SA). Onsite physio have a proactive approach to healthcare which can help to prevent injuries in the workplace, saving money for everyone.

Reduced injury costs

In the past, workers have had to wait until an injury claim has been submitted before they could access treatment. This can cost the workplace time and money in lost productivity, lost current and future earnings and potential lost output. Onsite physio makes the whole process of returning to work smoother and easier.
